"Get Together"

It's Saturday morning, the sun is shining and the birds are singing. So I'll continue my Saturday "dash of happy" song with The Youngbloods "Get Together." It's a hippie-ish song from the late 60's, but it's happy and optimistic and beautiful.
C'mon people now
Smile on your brother
Everybody get together
Try and love one another right now

  1. And now I have both that and Canned Heat's Let's Work Together going through my head. Oh, and now Let's Stay Together by Al Green. None of them bad songs. Ooh, and the Beatles just chimed in with Come Together. Together is a decent foundation for a playlist.

  2. I think there are a lot of "happy" songs from the sixties. This is one of them. I'm enjoying France's and your 'Dash of Happy' contributions. ;-)

  3. I like that too! I think we forgot how to like/love one another, being so self-centered, etc. But I'm not going to change the world, so... good post. :)
